Buggy and Tractor Show: Expected to be on display are many buggies, including a few Tyson and Jones buggies, a doctor's buggy and several built by Amish communities. There will also be vintage tractors on display during the festival.
Antiques Appraisal
Ever wonder what Grandpa's old saw is worth? Or Grandma's treasured book collection? Bring it to the Buggy Festival and let's find out! In the tradition of Antiques Roadshow, an appraiser will be on hand to offer his opinion on the value of your treasures. There is no fee to have your item appraised, but we will be accepting donations to the Carthage Historical Committee & Museum.
**Please - NO WEAPONS OF ANY KIND. If you would like to make arrangements for a private appraisal, we will be happy to accommodate.
**Additional Note: Appraisals cannot be made from photographs.
Classic Car and Truck Show:
Sponsored by the Sandhills Classic Street Rod Association. Approximately 75-100 classic cars and trucks will be on display. On-Site registration only for the event. Registration fee is $25. All proceeds from the show are donated to local charities. Registration forms with more detailed information can be found in our Applications Section.
Kid's Activity Area:
Children of all ages can play from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. FREE of charge. This year our kids zone will pack a whole new level of excitement. Play Hungry-Hungry Hippos, run the Obstacle Course, or simply try your luck on the slide or bounce house.

Axe Throwing:
Due to high demand, Axes & Armor out of Fayetteville will join us again this year! They provide instruction, and ensure the safety of all participants while providing an exciting and thrilling adventure right in the middle of all the Festival events! Don't miss out on this fun event that is sure to be talked about for years to come!
Mechanical Bull Riding:
Think you have what it takes to last 8 seconds?! Come on out to the Buggy Festival and try your skills! Bring your friends for a little friendly competition. This mechanical bull will allow for all skill levels, from beginner to self-proclaimed expert!
Everyone LOVES a magician! Come and be entertained by Glen Yost, an amazing magician from the Charlotte area. Mr. Yost has performed for festivals and events all over the country. His style of magic mixed with comedy is sure to keep you busy trying to figure out how he does what he does!
Pet Parade:Do you have the cutest, smartest pet around? Prove it! Get your pet registered today for the first ever Paws for Applause Pet Parade at the Buggy Festival. All pets are welcome as long as they are well behaved and have all their vaccinations! There will be prizes awarded for the top three finishers as judged by the crowd. Come show off your best, most loyal friend!
Small Animal Adoptions:
The Moore County Sheriff's Department Animal Control AND Caring Hearts for Canines will be bringing their animals available for adoption. Come out and see if you may find your next best friend and newest family member! The little lost souls need your love and care. They will return it to you in droves!
Caricature Artist:
Dan Smith is from Raleigh and works with About Faces Entertainment. He has been working as a professional caricature artist for close to fourteen years. He has drawn caricatures at malls, theme parks, fairs, conventions, private parties, and for special occasions up and down the east coast. He freelances as a commercial illustrator and designer, as well as a comic book artist and writer.
Come and enjoy the fun! There is a little bit of something for everyone! Bring a chair and come enjoy the entertainment including Classic & 90's Rock, Contemporary Christian, Acoustic Rock /Folk and Beach music! Over 125 vendors serving food and selling their items! Free children's section for all ages!
Only friendly, well-behaved dogs are allowed. Please be considerate of others and keep your dogs on a leash and clean up after them. Pet stations are available.
